In most rural areas of Yancey County, you would call Country Cablevision.  In addition to basic cable, they also offer high-speed internet and even phone service through internet.

There are a number of "convenience centers" operated by the county. As an alternative, weekly pickup service can be scheduled by calling B&B Waste Removal, owned by Doyle Renfro. Call 828-678-3344 or catch him on his cell at 828-208-1971. He also does special haul-aways if needed.

You may find that you will need Fuel Oil or LP Gas providers.  At closing, if there is a fuel/LP gas tank on the property, we will measure the fuel and you will probably have to reimburse the seller.  We will also determine the provider for you so you may contact them about changing the name of the owner so that you can continue to get uninterrupted service.

If you'd like a survey before closing, you should call one of our local surveyors.  However, as they are often quite busy during the same season Realtors are busy, you may not be able to get it completed in time for closing.  But give it a try, tell them you're buying through June Jerome.  Here are some we've used in the past.
